Saturday was slightly warmer than most running days I have had of late, 36 degrees felt like a heat wave but the problem is this is Ohio, stay out long enough and the temps change and there are always surprises. Winter running makes for interesting running, yes need to layer up, but I am finding out that some tops don't go together, the armpit meets at different levels so this create chafing, multiple top change later finally find one that are willing to play together. Love the Lucy bottoms so far, lean and mean tight and the winter warrior tights work great together and have worked in temps close to -2, oh joy of Ohio living.
Got in 10 miles Saturday running the Old Akron Half Marathon Blue line then went back out to get the last 2 runners for an additional 1.64 miles which was great as a cool down. The pace wasn't fast, still quite a bit of ice and snow on the side walks and we did occasionally move to the road but I wasn't very comfortable with that since we were running with traffic.
Sunday, had every intention of getting up for a run then meeting my BGR sisters for a run but then I got the cleaning bug since this is a rare occurrence decided to go with it, clean whole house, did laundry and sort books after all this was done had no desire to run but felt like spinning so got in a 45mins ride using motiontraxx cycle program coached by Gregg Cook, this was perfect for the day.
Today woke up early but spend a good 30mins debating the merits of whether to get up or not for 30mins in my mind, should have just hit the snooze button. Did eventually got out of bed and got in 7 miles but then was upset that I ran out of time to get in something else.

Right ankle was sore but not injured, hope that makes sense and the
weather was beautiful at 37 degrees, it did rain over night with colder
temps so some spots were icy. I met up with some TORN ladies to
hopefully get in 10 miles, I have the ankle in a compression brace for
the first 5 mile loop and it got painful towards the end but it looks
like it may be from the brace restricting the movement and me running
in it. When we got back after the first loop, I took the brace off and decided
to try for 1 mile to see how it goes, it felt better so got in the rest
of the miles.
Legs felt pretty good from the hill repeats yesterday but I needed a nap after my run today.

Still not doing a good job of getting to bed on time so last week's training not on schedule.
Thursday: Early morning chat with my sister, meant not much time to workout, will not trade the time with her for the world so adjusted the schedule instead of a 8 miles tempo run, did part of Runerval 2.0 Treadmill tempo with Coach Troy, more challenging than what I will have done on my own.
Friday: After a restless night and a early wake up from work, had just enough time to do Cathe Low Impact Hiit 2
Saturday: Before taking my son to the Dentist, felt the need to revisit Runerval 2.0 for a complete redo, so that was what I did, got in 4.5 miles then after the Dentist did Cathe Lift it Hiit Upper Body Circuit before heading out for Christmas returns.
Today: Met up with 4 other TORN ladies for a trail run, the intention was to do 2 of Bill Bad A$$ loop but there was so much snow on the trails that I didn't think I was getting a decent run, love the snowy trail run but building leg strength but one loop was enough for that, so 2 of the ladies and myself decided to do a quick 3 miles on the road, that was a great decision
Legs felt really weird switching from the snowy trail to the road, took a while to get them responding but we kept a very good pace which I like despite how tired the legs were and the calves wow hurts. Weather was perfect and all the gear worked, including my new Lucy Winter Warrior Skirt tight, the ankles may be sore tomorrow.

Early wake up today due to problem at work so was able to get workout in with no stress, D2S P2 RAMP Warmup + Strength 2, love this workout, easy to go heavy then it was on to a wonderful time with Coach Troy, Runerval 7.0 wrkt A, not quite sure why I did what I did last week, did workout B which was 90secs@ 8.5mph then did wrkt A which are 30secs @ 8.0 so this week decided to challenge myself a bit more.
For workout A which is 10x30secs/90secs recovery, did the runs @9mph with recovery @ 3-4mph with 3% incline, for rep #10 tried out 10mph, that was just insane and to think the guys where doing something like 11mph/6% grade ahh. Great workout, no dread factor.
Finish things off with Yoga Warrior 365, which is a nice cross training routine with Rudy , some kinks in the right leg which I need to keep an eye on.
Felt great throughout the day even thou I was expecting to be tired.
After work, met up with the TORN group for a run around Cuyahoga Falls and Hill repeats, nice fall night and a great way to end the day, legs felt great.

Weekend Review
This was a jam packed weekend that made fitting in training very hard but I did the best I could and I think it was that bad, didn't achieve the goal to do Spinerval 26.0 Hardcore 100 which is 5hrs and 45mins just not enough time in the day.
Saturday, up by 7am to get son to school for Academic Challenge, then back to the house to get hubby ready to leave the country and take to airport, drop off at noon, back to pick son up and take to a party at 12:40pm, drop son off then off to 2pm USATF rules training. Great info at the rules clinic free event, that ended about 5:15pm then back home to drop dinner off to son then off to Portage Lake Tri club monthly meeting. Finally got back home about 8:30pm with a headache, crawl into bed fully dressed and was promply asleep. Plan was to do the ride after the meeting there was no way that was happening, I was bone tired.
Sunday up at 7am to start the ride, then friend text she is doing her 1st tri nearby and need support, so off I went, got there about 8:30am left about 10:30am, stop at the rec center to get a swim in but it was packed so went home and got on the bike for an hout plus (started HC100) before I had to meet The Ohio Runner's Network menbers for a 1pm run. Got in 10+miles in ankle deep snow, had some great snack after the run, thanks to the members, then back home I went, stopped on the way to pickup dinner, got home got back on the bike for a quick 40mins ride before church. Shower went to church, got back, did a quick round of Yogmazing: Yoga for triathletes, check email and FB then it was bed time.
Had a great time but boy amd I tired, did decide to sign up with a local caoch to help with my swimming< i need to get in the deep and I am not going to do it on my own.
