Starting week 5 of Marathon training, even thou I added speed work last week this is really the start of speed and tempo, the question is what marathon time am I committing to. Marathon PR is 4:29 in 2012 and Chicago 2014 was 4:37, can't decide if I want to train for a new PR or for Fun, training through the winter is going to be hard.

Decision made train for a PR, if the body protest, drop down to for fun, I really miss the speed and challenge.

Today's workout was ChaLean Burn #1 + 4 miles easy run. I really will love to go heavier with ChaLean but some of the workouts are crazy compound moves and my left forearm seem to be quite week, also I was quite tired so kept the 4 miles at 5.5mph for the 1st 2 miles then move to 5.6mph for the next 1.5 miles and took up 0.1 for each 0.1 mile.

Into week 2 of the Hansons Marathon training plan as we get ready for Rock and Roll New Orleans at the end of February, it is always amazing how painful everything is when all I am doing is easy pace and only at 3 miles, sometimes I wonder if I ready did run a marathon.

Before the run did Cathe Xtrain Cardio Leg Blast routine 7 -12 only including warmup and cool down, I only have 2 more weeks to got to complete the 90 days rotation and I have to start thinking what I am going to do next, may be Charlene or Barry's Bootcamp to get a break from Cathe but I do have to say are programs are so well done that most other programs pale in comparison.

Getting cold, actually today was very windy and grey, I think this is the first time in a while that I do not have a race in November or December and February seem so far away but I am learning to honor my body, I also need to build my speed backup wisely, as much as I like to race I have lost so much speed even thou I have the endurance.

With wedding and Birthdays next year, I ready do not have any other race for 2016, and I no idea what I want to focus on either, really hope there will be a tempting offer for something, I did put in for the Berlin Marathon, already rejected for Tokyo and London, not sure am going to put in for New York again, didn't mind paying when there was a guarantee entry after the 3rd trial since they are charging $20+ but I can be playing this game for a long time at this rate with no entry.

Weather is still wacky, we woke up to 57degrees but at 8pm tonight we are at 30 degrees and snowing, go figure. Woke up with limited DOMS, so was really happy that my body is improving, so moved on to the next workout on the schedule Xtrain Low Impact Hiit, I only had time for the floor workout before church.

Spend the rest of the day, running errands and getting some last minute stuff for James trip.

So this week is the start of week 10 of the Hanson plan

2014 Chicago Marathon

Ahh... Chicago is now in running history, using the Hansons Marathon method I think I ran one of my most consistent marathon, no wall and no issue, felt great at the end and even attended a party, no heels thou. Chicago was fun, the spectators were great, but disappointed in no finishers award or real food in the bag, all in all it was a great experience.
