What the runner saw.

Great run today, even though I was quite sore yesterday felt much better today. It was colder than expected but since I am on vacation didn't have to get up early to run, went a different route today, had to do multiple loops to get the miles in but it was so worth it to run by the water's edge (St Andrews Bay)
For my run today used the new mix from Motion Traxx Episode83 Just Jazzy,
if you like jazz music this is an absolutely must have, did it twice to get the 5 miles in since it is only 30mins but could have listen to it forever.

After my run did the myrtl from coach Jay Johnson to cool down

Enjoying the Simple things

With my boys at Panama City Edgewater Beach, it was windy but felt great not much going on since this is off season for them, it is great to have a quite beach with just some local surfers.

Today's workout 2miles warmup 40mins @HM pace and then 1.5miles cooldown, well didn't quite go as planned, got the mileage in but not the pace.2 issues, it was hotter than I thought even thou I carried water and also I have never really ran this much back to back road wearing the Vivo Barefoot Evo and my ankle is having to adjust to the increase road mileage, it was quite fatigue today so back off on the pace so as to get in the distance, I have about 300 miles on the EVO and it shows no wear.

After the run got in 20mins on the upright bike and then 15 mins of an athletic stretch before showering and heading to the beach.

Rolling with Life

Had to go home to Nigeria to bury my Uncle who died unexpectedly, he was 10 days from his 80th birthday and had been planning a big celebration for himself instead we got to celebrate his life, so enjoy life you just never know when the reaper will come knocking.
I got back from Nigeria just in time to wrap things up at work before starting my Christmas vacation, traveling out of the country during the peak of marathon training was hard due to everything that needed to be done I knew I was going to get no running in and getting back it was a struggle to keep up with the schedule especially since that weekend long run was 20 miles got it done but it wasn't pretty.

Right now hanging out in Panama City Florida and I have another 20 miler this weekend and have been trying to figure out where to run, the local running group made some suggestion and I'll be checking them out.

This is the view from  my room, the weather has been beautiful and getting my runs in has been easy

Today's scheduled run was 8x400@VO2/ with 2 mins recovery so goal time was 2.08, didn't have a track and didn't feel like doing it on the treadmill so ran it on the road wasn't too bad since there wasn't too much traffic where I was running.
